We also pursue mineral physics-based interpretation of seismic velocity structures, nano- and micrometer-scale friction science, and hyper-multiscale geoscience integrating materials science, taking an interdisciplinary approach to understanding deep Earth dynamics. In fieldwork, we have established the Thai Seismic ARray (TSAR), contributing to the understanding of deep Earth structure from data-sparse regions. We are also engaged in planetary geology (Mars and the Moon) and committed to nurturing the next generation of researchers through the UTokyoGSC-Next program.<\/p>\n
We welcome motivated students to join our group!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Global Seismology Group is engaged in exciting interdisciplinary research topics in the solid earth science, from underground geological layer estimation with waveform inversion to the origin of life.
